Townsquare Media’s country radio and digital divisions partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for a recent fundraising drive that raised $1.4 million over the course of two days.  For the third straight year, Taste of Country joined 16 Townsquare Media radio stations to help raise money for St. Jude. This two-day event on March 3-4, combined radiothons and a Taste of Country webathon. iHeartMedia and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital have partnered for more than 30 years, together generating more than $80 million in the past decade to treat St. Jude patients by relying on the power of radio and the generosity of local listeners. And recently iHeartMedia helped raise $3.8 million for St. Jude during the company's annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids radiothon on Feb. 25-26 – an event supported by 38 iHeartMedia cities and The Bobby Bones Show, the nationally syndicated award-winning country morning show, in 22 of the participating markets.  Throughout the year, The Bobby Bones Show supports additional St. Jude programs, and many iHeartMedia stations around the country also fundraise for the hospital on different dates.  “St. Jude is country music's charity of choice," said Bones. "I've been there. I know the money our fans donate is put to good use."

Bobby Bones Show raises $150,000 for St. Jude

The Bobby Bones Show raised more than $150,000 in honor of co-host Amy's mother who recently passed away from cancer. The donation was presented to St. Jude last week after listeners responded to Amy's request to make donations to the hospital in lieu of flowers or other contributions to her mother’s funeral. In one week, listeners of The Bobby Bones Show, along with artists such as Dierks Bentley, Little Big Town and Lindsay Ell raised the money. Hosts of the show made a trip to St. Jude to present the check, tour the facility and decorate cupcakes with patients.
